Byrgundy Mallory
Byrgundy Mallory was born and raised in the great state of “Tennessee”. She has been in the dance, cheer, ad pageant industry well over 17 years. She started her dance, cheer and pageant career at the age of one. Dedication, patience, organization, motivation, and reliability are all qualities she has exemplified within the realm of her coaching endeavors. Byrgundy is a sophomore at East Tennessee State University. She is the proud daughter of Mr. Geoffrey & Dr. Octavia Mallory. She is proud to have many years of coaching experience.
Miss. Mallory has coached various dance, cheer and pageant classes. She also has experience in assisting with teams during competitions such as make-up, getting dancers on and off stage, assisting dancers during workshops, and working during recitals and important rehearsals. She has excelled as a coach, and choreographer. Byrgundy has expertise in tumbling, jazz, hip hop, combo, ballet, character, and prop dance. In the pageant industry Byrgundy has represented many organizations as State, Regional and International Royalty. She has held the following titles: 2013 Miss Black Universe, 2012 Miss Black & Gold ATA (District) for the State of Tenessee, 2012 Miss Black & Gold, 2011 Miss Black Kentucky Talented Teen, 2011 Miss Johnson City and Miss Jonesborough-2nd Runner, 2011-Miss Scenic City-3rd Runner-up, Congeniality-Miss. Green County and Knoxville, 2010 Miss Black Tennessee Talented Teen 2010-Oak Ridge Outstanding Teen Miss America Prelim-1st runner up, 2007-2008 TN America’s Miss-Junior Miss State Queen, Every Other Year-Prelim Local/Prelims-Cinderella Personality and Overall Tot, Mini Miss, Miniature Miss, Miss-State-5th Overall, 4th Overall, 3rd Overall, and American Coed- 1st Place twice in the following: Speech, Art, Talent, Thank You Letter, Best Personality, Best Smile, Best Hair and 4th and 3rd Overall.
She worked along the side of her mother and her dance studio to help her classes win the All American Dance Festival in Orlando, Florida at the Hard Rock Café Concert Hall judged by Universal & Disney World Dance Judges. The dance numbers have been featured in many multiple magazines. Skip Costa, featured in the motion picture You Got Served, highly complimented the level of technical skills created by Byrgundy Mallory and awarded them team 6-1st place awards. High School Musical Director, Kenny Ortago, sampled her uniform style and moves from her group in Orlando, Florida. Judges across the special “Sportsmanship Award” because the team exemplified love and support toward other teams’ accomplishments. Ellen Worksmen with Applause Dance, a fantastic choreographer in Chicago complimented the technical skills and facial performance that her dancers exemplified in competitions.

The Pageant Director of Miss ETSU, Miss Blue & Gold & Miss ETSU Ambassador Pageant.
After several decades, Miss. Mallory bought the Miss ETSU Pageant System back to East
Tennessee State University. After a two year pilot program, the Royal Court of ETSU has
been accepted as an offiicial on-campus organization. Byrgundy Mallory is the founder and
president the Royal Court of ETSU. She was very instrumental in the return of Miss ETSU and
the iss Buccaneer Pageants; in addition, she has created and founded the Miss Blue & Gold &
Miss. ETSU Ambassador. This year she has developed a couple new titles which it will be the first
year for the following titles to be apart of the ETSU Court: Mrs. ETSU and Miss Blue. Also
added to the court, there are other queens that serve as leaders on campus such as the
ETSU Homecoming Queen and Miss Africa ETSU.
